THE COIMBATORE AUTO SPORTS AND TRANSPORT TRUST (CoASTT)
Founded in 1986 by Mr. G. R. Karthikeyan and Mr. R. Shantharam, the Coimbatore Auto Sports and Transport Trust (CoASTT) is dedicated to the development and upliftment of motorsport in India. As a pioneering institution, CoASTT has become a focal point for promoting motorsports, automobile-related leisure activities, testing, and research projects.
Our mission extends beyond motorsport—our goal is to educate and empower people to be more proficient and safe drivers on public roads, while also enhancing the automobile and transport sectors in the country.

Arjun Balu
A motorsport legend in his own right, Arjun Balu is an 11-time National Touring Car Racing Champion and a multiple race winner in the Indian National Rally Championship. His technical expertise extends to his role as Senior Vehicle Dynamics Tester for TATA Motors, while he also serves as the Joint Managing Director of Balasubramanian Mills.
Yohann Setna
With over 20 years of international experience in motorsport management, Yohann Setna brings unparalleled expertise to CoASTT. As the COO of A1 Team India in A1GP, the World Cup of Motorsport, and Sporting Manager for J A Motorsport in the MRF Challenge, Yohann has been instrumental in designing and implementing numerous karting tracks across India, including the country’s first rooftop karting track and first multi-level indoor electric kart track. He has been working alongside Narain Karthikeyan for two decades, driving the growth of motorsport in India.
Clive Bowen
As the Founder and Director of Apex Circuit Designs, Clive Bowen is one of the world’s most renowned motorsport circuit designers, with over 20 years of experience in creating world-class racing destinations. His designs span across five continents, including tracks like the Dubai Autodrome and the Miami Formula 1 Circuit. Clive specializes in race circuit design, sustainability consultancy, and motorsport environmental consultancy, making him an invaluable asset in advancing the vision of CoASTT.
